1. Who we are
What is this privacy notice for?
This privacy notice is to tell you about how we collect, use and process your personal data when you
use this website, including any data you give us when you apply for funding from The Fisher Parkinson
Trust Limited.
It is important that you read this privacy notice and any other privacy notices we give you so that you
know of how and why we’re using your data.
Controller
The Fisher Parkinson Trust is what’s known as “the controller” (from now on we’ll refer to The Fisher
Parkinson Trust Limited as “we” or “us”). This means that it’s our job to decide how and why we collect
your personal data, and to be responsible for making sure that we use your data properly and in a
way that respects your rights.

Changes to the privacy notice and your duty to inform us of changes
The law on how we protect your personal data will change on 25 May 2018. Although this privacy
notice sets out most of your rights under the new laws, we may not yet be able to respond to answer
some of your questions until May 2018 as we are still working towards getting our systems ready for
some of these changes.
It is important that we have the correct data for you, so please let us know if your personal data
changes during your contact with us.

2. The data we collect about you
Personal data, or personal information, means any information about someone which allows them to
be identified. It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).
We may collect, use, store and transfer different kinds of personal data about you which we have
grouped together follows:
- Identity Data includes first name, maiden name, last name, username or similar identifier, marital
status, title, date of birth and gender. - Contact Data includes correspondence address, email address and telephone numbers.
- Grant Application Data – Information you provide about yourself when completing our Grant
Application Form for Students and or Grant Application Form for Community Groups.
We do not collect any Special Categories of Personal Data about you (this includes details about
your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions,
trade union membership, information about your health and genetic and biometric data). Nor do we
collect any information about criminal convictions and offences.
If you fail to provide personal data
Where you apply for a grant from us or where we need to collect personal data by law, or under the
terms of a contract we have with you and you fail to provide that data when requested, we may not
be able to consider you for the giving a of grant or perform the contract. We will notify you if this is the
case at the time as we may not be able to consider your application for a grant or enter into any
contract with you.
3. How is your personal data collected?
We use different methods to collect data from and about you including:
- Direct interactions. You may give us your Identity, Contact Data or Grant Application Data by
filling in forms or by talking to us by post, phone, email or otherwise. This includes personal data
you provide when you: - submit an application for a grant to the address stated at the bottom of our Grant Application
Form - give us some feedback.
4. Why and how we use your personal data and disclosure
We will only use your personal data where we have a legal basis to do so and will respect your rights.
We use the personal data:
1) to contact you in response to your application for grant funding;
2) for the trustees of the Fisher Parkinson Trust Limited to consider your application for a charitable
grant from us;
3) to administer and to record the giving of or refusal of any grants.
We may also use your personal data where we need to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.
When administering your personal data, we have a legitimate interest to do so, for example
sharing information with regulators to protect our rights, property and safety, or the rights,
property and safety of others; or we are legally required to do so.
Generally, we do not rely on consent as a legal basis for processing your personal data, but we may
review this policy at any time in the future. We will request your specific permission if we seek to use
your personal data or any images of you to share information on our website about past projects
which have received grant funding from us.
We will never share your information with third parties for their own purposes, unless this is explained
to you at the time we collect your information and You give us your consent to do so.
Change of purpose
We will only use your personal data for the purposes for which we collected it, unless we reasonably
consider that we need to use it for another reason and that reason is compatible with the original
purpose. If you want us to explain how the processing for the new purpose is compatible with the

If we need to use your personal data for an unrelated purpose, we will tell you and we will explain the

No fee usually required
You will not have to pay a fee to access your personal data (or to exercise any of the other rights).
However, we may charge a reasonable fee if your request is clearly unfounded, repetitive or

Time limit to respond
We try to respond to all legitimate requests within one month. Occasionally it may take us longer than
